OUR BEERS | TASTING NOTES | PUMP CLIPS

Here you can find out more information about our cask beers and lagers and their tasting notes:

Faversham Creek 3.8% - Well-crafted refreshing golden ale with a soft, peachy aroma and creamy finish.

Native Bitter (3.7%) - The deep amber colour and its nutty notes capture the ruggedness of a Whitstable Native. The taste is complemented by honest malt flavours and aromas of Kent’s hop gardens –the Fuggle and the Golding.

Renaissance Ruby Mild 3.8% - Ruby in colour, this classic mild has a nutty taste with a gentle roast malt aroma.

East India Pale Ale (4.1%) - Pale coloured sharp clean well balanced hop flavours leaving the palate on a bitter sweet assertive finish.

Pearl of Kent (4.5%) - Tropical fruits flavour distinguishes the light in colour and well rounded premium beer – the jewel amongst ales.

Oyster Stout (4.5%) - Rich dry deep chocolate and mocha flavours are the distinguishing features of this ale.

Raspberry Wheat (5.2%) - Deep red in colour, naturally cloudy wheat beer bursting with refreshing raspberry fruit on a balanced sharp finish.

Winkle Picker (4.5%) - A beautifully balanced amber ale, malty in taste with orange pomander aroma.

Kentish Reserve (5%) - A copper ale having warm plum pudding flavours with a ruby port finish.

Wheat Beer (5.2%) - Naturally cloudy Bavarian style wheat beer with classic flavours of bananna on refreshing citric lemon finish.

Pilsner (4.9%) - Natural lager is made by storing beer at low temperatures (lager in Germany means 'to store'), which allows the subtle aroma of 'green apples' and the Czechoslovakian Sanz hop to come to the fore. It relies entirely on natural processes, which give the pilsner a fresh citrussy flavour. Being natural it may become slightly hazy when stored at low temperatures for a time but this will not affect your enjoyment of the fresh flavour that the Whitstable Brewery's special process provides.
